Meet John McGraw
A Cattle Farmer from Texas USA,
John, 38, runs a ranch in rural Texas with a herd of about 150 cattle. He has over 12 years of experience in cattle farming
I’ve managed my family’s cattle herd for years, and while the challenges are familiar, modern innovations have boosted our productivity. Raising cattle is expensive, so avoiding losses and waste is crucial.
I'm always looking for new ways to optimize my herd.

How does it works?
Each cow has a unique number and an electronic chip for tracking health, feeding, and activity.
The chip sends real-time data to the system, ensuring the farmer has up-to-date info for optimal herd performance.
Benchmark Analysis
I analyzed three existing cattle monitoring platforms, reviewing their fields, categories, and workflows. This study highlighted industry standards and helped refine my design approach for better effectiveness and user experience.
Dashboard Overview

Additional Features
The dashboard includes additional features such as current and weekly weather,
AI recommendations that learn from the system, and the option to review details for individual cows.
In the Health section, the system monitors sick cows, those at high risk, cows on medication, and those in recovery.
This part of the dashboard provides an overview of disease concentration within the herd, helping to manage and address health issues effectively.
In this section, you can view the fertility status of the cows, categorized by stages: fertile, in progress, and non-fertile.
The daily number of births is also displayed.
In the Group Overview section, you can view alerts related to each group and respond quickly.
Accessing this window allows for more detailed monitoring of groups, including editing, adding, and filtering as needed.
In this section, you can see whether the herd's nutrition is optimal. It displays whether the daily feed quantity is adequate and highlights any current or potential shortages in the food supply, helping to ensure that the herd's nutritional needs are consistently met.
